Haha. Yeah, this site pretty much died when Double B did. I think everyone was tired of his death portrait. If you came here looking for a Health Care discussion, I'm still too angry to see straight let alone think straight. "Seething" is the proper word for it. But I digress...

I don't know what goes through Brand New's head. I don't think they're not trying, but it does seem like they go out of their way to piss people off. Deja will always hold a special place in my heart, but I think that the way my tastes have shifted if I came across the band now with fresh eyes, The Devil and God would probably be my favorite.

If you're a big Ace Enders fan, then you should know he just came out with a new I Can Make A Mess Like Nobody's Business album: http://www.amazon.com/The-World-We-Know/dp/B003CFGCAM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=dmusic&qid=1269486960&sr=8-2 Disclaimer: I haven't listened to it yet.

Bravo for being the first commenter after 3 months! Haha. I guess I shouldn't expect to keep a readership when I write every six months now. I may have to reactivate this site given the new political paradigm though...

Well I see I'm a couple months late with this comment; I thought this site was dead!

The unintelligible track on Daisy is super annoying, and honestly kind of insulting. I've resigned myself to the fact that we'll never get another Deja Entendu, nor even a Your Favorite Weapon, out of these guys; but although Devil&God and Daisy have grown on me, sometimes it seems like they're not even trying.

I like Not Without A Fight, but it's certainly no Coming Home. But for me, Coming Home has become one of those albums I can't really listen to unless I'm alone and can spend an hour doing nothing but singing, so it's not exactly a fair comparison there.

When I Hit The Ground -- love it. I do have an unusually large soft spot for this band though (including The Early November), with The Mother The Mechanic and The Path being another album (er, triple-album) I can't listen to while doing anything else.

I didn't know Cartel had a new album. That's exciting, especially if it's more like Chroma than the self-titled album.

Anyway, bravo for another annual best-of list! I need to come back to this throughout the year and check out some more of these albums.

Eh, it's been rough on several fronts. I don't want to blame it all on Obama, but it's probably entirely his fault.

OK, this is really random. I watched the movie "Falling Down" last night for the first time in probably 10 years. And Double-B is in it! He has a tiny role as a construction worker. He had long hair and a bandana plus a mustache, so I didn't recognize him at first, but as soon as he spoke I knew it was him.

Yeah, I'm not entirely sure why such a thing would exist. The diagram or the underground tunnel. And even if one did exist at one point why not, you know, seal it up? Naaaaaah, these lasers and poorly laid bricks should do the trick. Ah well, at least this season is entertaining enough to look past the ridiculousness of the plot twists.

I loved the giant White House picture in the attack plans. Obviously you need a detailed 2-by-3-foot diagram of the front of it in order to drill into the basement through an underground water cavern. The only thing missing from it was "To: Big Red. Love, Juma."

Actually, I may have falsely gotten your hopes up on the BA re-release. There's 18 bonus tracks and there's a good number of b-sides, but a lot of them are also demos and live recordings. It's still great stuff though of course.

Also, I think I will hit you up for that best of comp if you don't mind.
